HTC Desire HD -Mobile Phone Reviews - Information about HTC Desire HD Phone - Smart Phone features

The HTC Desire HD, touch screen with an aluminium uni-body design, a smartphone which has set a new standard for high end Android phones, launched in the first quarter of 2011 in India.

A wide screen of about 4.3 inch is definitely one of the standard features of this phone with its lavish features surely giving a tuff competition to the rest.

It is a quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE phone with High Speed Package Access (HSPA) mobile broadband up to 14.4 Mbps along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPRS. Also it includes Android 2.2 “Froyo” operating system and HTC customized HTC sense.

There is no storage problem as it has 768MB RAM and 1.5GB of internal storage and to add on it can be expandable up to 32 GB. It has 3.5 mm stereo audio jack and Standard micro-USB (5-pin micro-USB 2.0)

Software included are Adobe Reader, Car Panel, Facebook, Flashlight, Friend Stream, HTC Hub, Latitude, Locations, Navigation, Peep, Places, Quickoffice, Reader, SoundHound, Stocks, Twitter, YouTube.

The additional feature is it has jumped on e-book-reading bandwagon with a new Reader App and bookstore and also mapping utility called HTC locations. You can easily transfer contacts, calendar events, messages from popular brand phones via Bluetooth. Not to forget its new online services including remote ring, lock and erase.

The performance of battery is also good enough with 1230mAH capacity and standby up to 420-490 hours.

Over all, it is good smart phone for business users and the applications may lure many others. But its wide screen is too large for some people and its headphones location too seems to be bit awkward. The battery life can be an issue as sometimes it stays not more than a day. However, its large screen definitely gives a rich and excellent web browsing and media experience.
